Social Security update: March direct payment worth $943 goes out in seven days

March’s Supplemental Security Income payment, worth up to $943 for individual filers, will go out to millions of beneficiaries in one week.

The payment will go out on Friday, March 1, to people who struggle with a serious debilitating disability and have a limited income as a result, according to the Social Security Administration.

To qualify for the SSI payments, a person has to be totally or partially blind or have a “physical or mental condition(s) that seriously limits their daily activities for a period of 12 months or more, or may be expected to result in death.”
