Former President Donald Trump is back in court in Manhattan on Monday ahead of two key decisions in his legal battles in New York City.
Trump hit his Monday deadline to post a $464 million bond in his civil fraud case. He must turn up the money Monday or New York Attorney General Letitia James can begin seizing his assets, including numerous properties in New York and his bank accounts.
“If there are bank accounts in New York, those can be frozen essentially immediately if she already knows where they are, and the turnover of the funds in a bank account would be measured in days or weeks,” Mitchell Epner, a New York litigator and former federal prosecutor, told USA Today.
Trump has appealed the decision.
