Boeing CEO Dave Calhoun announces he will step down following plane manufacturing concerns

Boeing CEO Dave Calhoun, along with two other senior executives, announced they are stepping down from their positions Monday. 

Additionally, board Chairman Larry Kellner will not be running for reelection, and Stan Deal, the president and CEO of the company’s commercial airplane unit, will retire after several production failures of the company’s passenger jets, the Associated Press reported

“President and CEO Dave Calhoun today announced his decision to step down as CEO at the end of 2024, and he will continue to lead Boeing through the year to complete the critical work underway to stabilize and position the company for the future,” the company said in a statement.
