Rumble CEO offers to partner with TikTok if it divests from ByteDance

Video platform Rumble has offered to partner with social media platform TikTok ahead of Congress moving forward with legislation that could ban the massively popular application.

The legislation in question would require TikTok to divest completely from its China-based parent company, ByteDance, or else get banned in the United States. The offer from Rumble, a platform considered to be a free speech alternative to YouTube, stated that it would be ready to join “a consortium” of other parties to acquire and operate TikTok in the U.S. — if TikTok does choose to divest from ByteDance.
