President Joe Biden will host a Juneteenth concert at the White House around 7 p.m. and deliver remarks from the event at 8 p.m.

Juneteenth, which celebrates the end of slavery in the United States, is a little more than a week away. About three years ago, Biden made the occasion a federal holiday, and it will be the last such occasion in Biden’s first term.
The president recently came back from France, where he spoke on D-Day’s 80th anniversary and attempted to emulate former President Ronald Reagan in his remarks.
