Trump witness’s home ‘swatted’ the day he testified in hush money trial: Report

David Pecker, a key witness in former President Donald Trump’s criminal hush money trial, was “swatted” on the day of his testimony, according to a Reuters report.

In an April 25 email to a local newspaper, a person under the name “Jamal” said they had tied up Pecker’s wife and killed someone at the address of Pecker’s home in Greenwich, Connecticut. Swatting is an increasingly popular tactic of filing a false report with the intention of triggering a “potentially dangerous response” from law enforcement. 

“I f—ed up really bad,” Jamal wrote. “Please help me.”

Greenwich police were already outside of Pecker’s home as a precaution due to his involvement in the high-profile case.
