Sanders comparison of Gaza and Vietnam an ‘over-exaggeration’: Biden campaign co-chairman

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) ruffled feathers last week by saying that the war in Gaza may be President Joe Biden‘s “Vietnam,” but Biden campaign co-chairman Mitch Landrieu believes that is an “over-exaggeration.”

Sanders told CNN last week that Biden’s handling of the war in Gaza may be what will lead to his undoing, similar to President Lyndon Johnson’s handling of the Vietnam War caused him to not seek reelection. Landrieu was asked about Sanders’s comments on CNN’s State of the Union on Sunday.
