50 Cent becomes latest actor to open film studio outside Los Angeles

Rapper 50 Cent is opening a new film studio in a Louisiana city, making him the latest celebrity to leave Tinseltown for alternative pastures.

The rapper, whose real name is Curtis James Jackson III, is opening his new film studio in Shreveport, Louisiana, which he views as “a beacon of inspiration and creativity.” Jackson’s studio, G-Unit Film & Television, was created in 2003 and has already released several films and television shows, including the documentary 50 Cent: The New Breed and the Starz television series Power.
