Will and Jada Pinkett Smith close charity as donations dwindle following Oscars slap: Report

Will Smith and Jada Smith are still trying to recover from the “slap heard ’round the world” at the 2022 Oscars. It’s not just their reputations that took a hit; now the couple’s charity will reportedly shut down.

According to the Will and Jada Smith Family Foundation’s latest tax filing, it only received $365,870 in 2022. The year before, the celebrity couple was able to raise over $2.1 million.

Heavy-hitting donors seemingly pulled away from the foundation following the on-stage assault. Among them was American Airlines, which donated $76,160, and the Creative Arts Agency, which gave $100,000 in 2021. The two were not on the list of donors that following year.
