Six gang members arrested after stealing $50,000 worth of lottery tickets

Six gang-affiliated Massachusetts men were taken into custody on charges related to the theft of roughly $50,000 worth of lottery tickets from convenience stores across two states.

The suspects broke into at least 12 stores in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, and they face over 120 indictments, including larceny, breaking and entering, being fugitives from justice, money laundering, and improper usage of a credit card, according to a report that cited the Essex County District Attorney’s Office.

They are associates and members of the Trinitarios, the DA’s office reported, and their Wednesday arrest was part of a larger investigation called “Operation Smash & Grab.”
