President Joe Biden is giving remarks on his “Investing in America” plan on Wednesday amid a campaign stop in Milwaukee.
The president’s remarks come the day after he clinched the necessary delegates to become the Democratic Party’s presidential nominee for November. Former President Donald Trump secured the Republican Party’s nomination the same night.

Biden is hoping to build support in Wisconsin and Michigan ahead of the presidential election. He won both states in 2020, but in Michigan’s recent Democratic primary, a large number of residents voted “uncommitted” as a protest of the president’s handling of the war in Gaza, presenting a warning sign for him as the general election approaches.
The speech is expected to begin at 5 p.m. Eastern.
