Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) led a group of Colorado Republicans in threatening to recall Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold on Tuesday over her decision to remove former President Donald Trump from the state ballot.
After the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that the state could not remove Trump from the ballot over the 14th Amendment insurrection clause, Boebert claimed in a letter that Griswold embarrassed the state with her attempt to remove Trump unlawfully.
“Instead of fulfilling her oath of office to encourage Coloradans to make their voices heard, she abused her office for selfish political decisions to rig the primary election against President Donald J. Trump,” Boebert wrote, according to the Hill.
