Stimulus update: Direct payment worth $1,312 to be sent to some Alaska residents in 21 days

In three weeks, the Alaska Department of Revenue is set to send out checks from the Permanent Fund Dividend to another group of eligible residents who have yet to receive their checks from the state program.

The Alaskans who will get PFD checks on March 21 include those with the “Eligible-Not Paid” status as of March 13 and have yet to get their payment from the program for 2023 or earlier.

The Permanent Fund Dividend bases its payment amounts on the state’s annual mineral revenues for that year and is sent out to eligible residents each year. In 2023, the PFD check was worth $1,312, with the payments beginning distribution in October of that year.

“The 2023 PFD marks the 42nd year Alaskans have received their share of the state’s natural resource wealth,” Alaska Department of Revenue Commissioner Adam Crum said in a statement about
