Stimulus update: Applications for rebate payment worth up to $318 open in two days

In two days, low-income residents in Boulder, Colorado, can apply for a food tax rebate from the city.

Boulder has had the program in place since 1967 as an attempt to “lessen the financial burden on lower-income community members for city sales tax paid on food items,” according to the city. Residents will be able to apply for the program from Friday until June 30.

Residents eligible for the rebate include those who have a disability, were 62 or older, or are a family with children under 18 for the entirety of 2023. Additional requirements for applicants include confirmation the applicant lived in Boulder for the duration of the year, along with specific financial requirements.
