Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich argued that 2024 presidential candidate Nikki Haley is not helping the Republican Party in her continued pursuit of the nomination, adding that former President Donald Trump is the nominee.
Gingrich’s comment was made on Tuesday during the Michigan primary election, in which Trump once again bested the former United Nations ambassador. When asked about the results, Gingrich argued that Haley will continue to “alienate” Republican voters as long as she remains in the race, and that he hopes she will suspend her campaign and support Trump’s bid for the White House.
