Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) defended President Joe Biden despite growing concerns over his age and mental acuity, contending that the president’s seeking four more years to express his “age” and “wisdom” is a “gift.”
The California governor dismissed concerns about Biden leading the Democratic Party’s ticket in November, arguing that the president’s tenure in the White House has been a “masterclass” and that he is “all in” for four more years, while on NBC News’s Meet the Press.
“We have American manufacturing coming back home, all because of Biden’s wisdom, because of his temperance, his capacity to lead in a bipartisan manner — which is an underrepresented point. So I have great confidence moving forward. So the answer is absolutely. All in, in terms of the next four years for Joe Biden,”
