PowerWash Simulator 2 gets Star Wars dirt: new DLC trailer reveals classic locations

PowerWash Simulator 2 is getting a Star Wars overhaul. The new Star Wars Pack DLC, revealed in a trailer at IGN Live this past Saturday, lets players take on the role of P0-W2, a class five labor droid tasked with cleaning up some of the galaxy's most iconic locations and vehicles.

The pack pulls directly from the original trilogy era, giving players a chance to scrub down the Lars Homestead, Chalmun's Cantina, X-Wing fighters, AT-ATs, and the bridge of a Super Star Destroyer. That last one carries particular stakes: keep it spotless before Lord Vader returns, or face a Force choke.

The concept taps into what made Star Wars visually distinct when it first arrived. George Lucas designed a universe that looked lived in, covered in dust and weathering that sci-fi films of the 1970s rarely showed. Gleaming, pristine starships were out. Grime and reality were in. Now PowerWash Simulator 2 leans into that aesthetic as the core gameplay loop, turning the dirtiness itself into the puzzle players have to solve.

The Star Wars Pack launches July 16, 2026, across PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2.

Author Emily Chen: "This is exactly the kind of left-field licensed crossover that makes indie games fun, but the execution matters, and from the trailer it looks like developer Futurlab actually understood what makes both Star Wars and PowerWash Simulator tick."
