Harris joins Alsobrooks on the campaign trail to sway centrist Democrats from Hogan

Vice President Kamala Harris is making a stop in Maryland to try and boost Democrats’s chances of holding on to a key Senate seat in November.

Harris is joining Democratic Senate candidate Angela Alsobrooks on the campaign trail in her bid to beat out former Republican Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan, who gives Republicans the best chance to obtain a Senate seat there in decades.

Harris is expected to speak alongside Alsobrooks at a campaign event on “Gun Violence Awareness Day,” where Harris will also highlight the Biden administration’s work on gun safety legislation. They will deliver remarks on gun violence while drawing a contrast with Republicans.

“On National Gun Violence Awareness Day, I’m joining [Alsobrooks] to discuss what’s at stake this November to keep our communities safe,” a post from Harris on X said.
