Giuliani agrees to drop accusations about Georgia poll workers after massive $148 million defamation loss

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani agreed to cease his attacks against a pair of Georgia election workers in light of a $148 million defamation judgment against him.

Court documents revealed Giuliani agreed to stop accusations against Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss after hammering the two, saying they had stolen the election with USB drives they passed around “like vials of heroin or cocaine.”

Those comments, which some called racist against the black mother-daughter pair, came before each was exonerated of guilt by Georgia election authorities in June 2023. The pair was also a popular target for former President Donald Trump in his messaging campaign about alleged fraud during the 2020 election.

The pair said the accusations changed their lives, forcing Freeman to move out of her home due to threats.
