DC teacher’s Porsche stolen from school parking lot during class

A teacher in Washington, D.C., was one of the most recent victims of car theft in the nation’s capitol as her car was stolen from her school’s parking lot. 

Margaret McLawhorn, who teaches at H.D. Woodson High School in Northeast D.C., had her white Porsche Macan stolen out of the school’s parking lot Tuesday. She believes her car keys were taken from her purse during class.

A witness said she was sitting in her car in the lot when she saw a male dodge between cars before getting into McLawhorn’s Porsche and driving away. It’s not known whether or not it was a student who stole the car.

McLawhorn claimed her car keys were most likely taken when she put her purse down and moved to the back
