President Joe Biden is scheduled to speak about the Sgt. 1st Class Heath Robinson Honoring our Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxics Act, also known as the PACT Act, at 1:30 p.m. in Nashua, New Hampshire.
The PACT Act, signed into law in August 2022 and named after a veteran, attempted to address “the most significant expansion of benefits and services for toxic exposed veterans in more than 30 years.” Biden will announce that the act has granted more than 1 million claims related to the legislation.
Biden has a personal connection to the issue — his son, Beau, died of brain cancer, and the president has blamed burn pits as a cause for the younger Biden’s cancer.
