New SIGHT film makes case for honoring parents’ role in children’s lives: ‘More to life than what we see’

SIGHT, the latest film from Angel Studios, tells the true story of an eye surgeon who draws on resilience grounded in parental support throughout his youth to help restore the sight of an orphan.

The film SIGHT is based on the life of Dr. Ming Wang, a poor Chinese prodigy who flees Communist China and becomes an eye surgeon in the United States. In the process, he finds himself drawing on the strength and dedication of his parents to reconcile his own traumatic past.

Actor Terry Chen, of Almost Famous and House of Cards, plays the role of Wang in his adult life.
