RFK Jr. reiterates support for abortion access ‘even if it’s full term’

Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. voiced his support for full-term abortions, arguing, “we shouldn’t have the government involved.”

Kennedy’s statement comes as abortion access is expected to be a major topic among voters in the 2024 presidential election, the first presidential election since Roe v. Wade was overturned in 2022. Kennedy explained that abortion ought to be a decision left up to women rather than the state, though he admitted that this option provides a “satisfactory outcome.”

“I believe we should leave it to the women,” Kennedy said on The Sage Steele Show. “We shouldn’t have government involved.”
