Former Democrat Tulsi Gabbard said she is ready to “serve my country” as vice president if she is offered the position by former President Donald Trump.
Gabbard, who previously ran as a presidential candidate in 2020 before leaving the Democratic Party in 2022, is rumored to be on Trump’s short list of vice presidential candidates, as Trump is the presumptive presidential nominee for the Republican Party. When asked on Monday about the possibility of being Trump’s vice president, Gabbard said she would be ready for the offer “because I know what is at stake in a deep and visceral way.”
