WATCH LIVE: House to address the Antisemitism Awareness Act

The House Rules Committee is addressing the Antisemitism Awareness Act at 4 p.m. Monday.

The bipartisan bill was written in the wake of Hamas’s attack on Israel on Oct. 7, 2023. If passed, it would largely change what is considered to be antisemitic acts of harassment.

Under the legislation, sponsored by Rep. Mike Lawler (R-NY), some language being used during college campus protests regarding the Israel-Hamas war could be punishable under federal anti-discrimination law.

The House is expected to vote on the bill this week.
