The White House‘s attempt to strike a balance in its response to pro-Palestinian protests on various college campuses has some Democrats concerned about the election in November.
Protests on several college campuses, including Columbia University, have caused security and safety concerns for Jewish students. The demonstrators at Columbia have created an encampment and have allegedly harassed and intimidated Jewish students as the protesters decry Israel in its war against Hamas terrorists in Gaza.
On Monday, President Joe Biden offered a qualified condemnation of the protesters who were crossing the line into antisemitism, which included condemning people he claims “don’t understand” what is going on with Palestinians.
