Wildlife officers battle large gator on MacDill Air Force Base

Wildlife officers battled a large alligator on Monday after it stormed MacDill Air Force Base in Florida and made itself comfortable under an aircraft.

After making it on the base, the gator took a rest in the shade of a large tanker plane parked on the runway, according to images of the animal posted to Facebook by MacDill Air Force Base.

Officials from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission were called to handle the gator, but it did not appear to appreciate their arrival.

Video of the encounter shows FWC personnel struggling to handle the large gator after they restrained it with ropes tied around its body, snout, and tail.

As the wildlife officials pulled, the gator thrashed and pulled back, but the FWC won out and was able to seize control before relocating
