The news that Louisiana State University women’s basketball player Hailey Van Lith had entered the transfer portal was met with support.
Van Lith played a single season with the LSU Tigers before she announced her plans to transfer. She previously played for Louisville. The option to transfer comes just as Van Lith became eligible for the WNBA, which her fellow teammate Angel Reese entered the league’s draft.
Reese posted a photo of herself with Van Lith on her Instagram story with the caption, “love you killa,” amid the news.
