Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) reiterated her calls for House Speaker Mike Johnson’s (R-LA) ousting just days after he had praised her as his “friend.” The congresswoman from Georgia amped up her attacks against Johnson on Tuesday night, claiming during an interview with Steve Bannon that Johnson is “doing the Deep State’s dirty work.”
Earlier on Tuesday, Greene shared an article from the Federalist that drew parallels between Johnson’s and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s (R-KY) stances on Ukraine. Greene cited the article as further evidence of why Johnson should be removed.
“Mike Johnson’s ‘Ukraine First’ Agenda Shows He’s No Different Than Mitch McConnell’ And Mitch McConnell has a 6% approval rating among Republicans,” Greene said. “Again, we need a new Speaker of the House.”
