Stimulus update: Direct payment of $1,312 to be sent to some Alaskans in 17 days

In 17 days, eligible residents who have not received their checks from the Alaska Department of Revenue as part of the Permanent Fund Dividend will receive their checks.

Residents with the “Eligible-Not Paid” status as of April 10 who have yet to receive their checks from the Permanent Fund Dividend program from 2023 or earlier will get their payment on April 18. Those who have already received their Permanent Fund Dividend payments for last year or earlier will not get another payment on that date.

Alaska residents must intend to remain a resident of the state indefinitely and may not be a convicted felon, among other requirements, to qualify for a check from the program.

Payments from the Permanent Fund Dividend are determined by Alaska’s annual mineral revenues and are sent to eligible residents each year. The payment from the program was worth $1,312 per resident in
