Rep. Mike Lawler (R-NY) refused to comment Sunday on whether or not he would support former President Donald Trump’s campaign for a second term this November.
In an interview with Dana Bash on CNN’s State of the Union, Lawler said he is focused on delivering for his New York district. Lawler did not endorse Trump in the primary, when asked if he would endorse Trump, he said he was not focused on an endorsement.
“Look, I’m not focused right now on the presidential race, I am focused on my campaign and my district and the work we are doing here,” Lawler said. “At some point, I’m sure I’ll have a comment with respect to the presidential race, but right now, I’m focused on my district.”
