Laken Riley’s father demands Georgia Senate enact immigration reform

The Georgia state Senate hosted Laken Riley’s father, Jason Riley, in its chambers, and he asked it to act on the over a million immigrants “making families nervous.”

The University of Georgia student’s body was discovered on campus on Feb. 22. Riley was allegedly murdered by Jose Ibarra, an illegal immigrant living near campus who has been arrested in connection to her death. Ibarra faces charges of malice murder, felony murder, aggravated battery, aggravated assault, false imprisonment, kidnapping, hindering a 911 call, and concealing the death of another.
