Stimulus update: Direct payment worth $1,312 to be sent to some Alaska residents in seven days

In one week, the Alaska Department of Revenue is slated to send out payments from the Permanent Fund Dividend to another batch of residents who have yet to receive their checks from the state program.

PFD payments will go out on March 21 to those who had the “Eligible-Not Paid” status as of Wednesday and have yet to get their checks from the state program from 2023 or earlier.

To qualify for the program, an applicant must intend to remain a resident of Alaska indefinitely and may not be a convicted felon, among other stipulations.

The Permanent Fund Dividend payment amount for each year is determined by Alaska’s annual mineral revenues for that year. The check sent out in 2023 was worth $1,312, with distribution beginning in October.
