‘Immeasurable strength’: New investigation into Uvalde police officers strays from DOJ analysis

A local investigation into the Uvalde, Texas, police’s response to last year’s Robb Elementary School shooting cleared police of wrongdoing, a departure from the Department of Justice‘s analysis.

The report was made by former police detective Jesse Prado, who was commissioned by the Uvalde City Council. While outlining a series of failures, such as poor training for active shooter situations and poor communication, Prado said the Uvalde officers showed “immeasurable strength” and “level-headed thinking” in their response.
