Food stamps: March SNAP payments worth up to $1,751 for California residents to wrap up in three days

California will finish distributing March’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program payments to low-income households in three days.

Payments are distributed starting on the first of a month and continue until the 10th. The dates benefits are sent out to qualified low-income families and individuals depend on recipients’ case numbers.

For instance, California recipients with case numbers ending in 1 received their CalFresh benefits on March 1, and the payment dates continue until March 10, when those with case numbers ending in 0 will receive their payments.

The exact benefit amount a household will receive depends on several factors, including household size, income limits, and additional assets. The maximum payments are $291 for a household of one, $973 for a household of four, and $1,751 for a household of eight. Up to $219 is added to a household’s food stamps for each member after eight.
