CNN host and former NBA star Charles Barkley is continuing to attack black supporters of former President Donald Trump, adding that anyone wearing Trump’s mug shot merchandise is “a freaking idiot.”
Barkley stirred discussion online when he said over the weekend that he would punch any black person wearing Trump’s mug shot merchandise. He has since clarified his statements, stating that he “obviously” would not literally punch people, and that he believes people are free to vote for whomever they choose.
“The point I was trying to make — no, the point I was making, I wasn’t trying to make it, when Donald Trump compares his plight with that of the black person, that is what I had a problem with,” Barkley said.
