Stimulus update: Michigan to send monthly payments of $528 to low-income small-business owners in 10 days

In 10 days, 100 low-income entrepreneurs in Ann Arbor, Michigan, are set to begin receiving monthly payments of $528 as part of the Guaranteed Income to Grow Ann Arbor program.

Administered by the University of Michigan’s Poverty Solutions team, this two-year pilot initiative commenced its distribution of payments in January to preselected candidates. Kristin Seefeldt, the associate director of Poverty Solutions, confirmed to the Washington Examiner that disbursements will occur on the 15th of each month, adjusting for weekends or holidays.

“This guaranteed income pilot is about celebrating residents who do much to strengthen our community but are still struggling to make ends meet,” Seefeldt said.
