Sanders appeared on CBS Mornings to express his stance against the presidential criteria. The 82-year-old was asked whether Biden should take a cognitive test to qualm criticisms of his mental acuity amid his 2024 presidential campaign.

Biden, 81, is the oldest sitting president. Should he win reelection, he would be 86 at the end of his second term.

“If you don’t like him, don’t vote for him, for whatever reason,” Sanders said. “But I don’t think you should have that criteria.”
