Missouri Democrats on Tuesday refused to accept state Rep. Sarah Unsicker’s filing fee to run for governor this year.
“Based on your public statements, it was anticipated that you may attempt to run for office as a Democrat,” the counsel for the Missouri Democratic Party wrote in a memo obtained by Spectrum News.
“We have prepared this statement to inform you the Missouri Democratic Party will not accept your filing fee as a Democrat in our primary. Having been removed from the House Democratic Caucus by your peers, the Missouri Democratic Party does not wish to associate with you as a candidate,” the statement said.
