Food stamps: Montana March SNAP payments worth up to $1,751 to begin in four days

Montana’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program will begin sending its March payments, worth up to $1,751, in four days.

SNAP payments in Montana are distributed over five days every month. The payments start going out on Saturday and run through March 6. Recipients get their payments on days according to their SNAP case number, account number, Social Security number, or last name.

SNAP benefits can be used at participating locations, including farmers markets and grocery stores. The payments are automatically loaded on an electronic benefits transfer card every month.

To qualify for SNAP payments in Montana, a single-person household cannot have a net monthly income exceeding $1,215, and an eight-person household cannot have a net monthly income exceeding $4,214.
