Pennsylvania Republicans try to flip Trump’s script on mail-in voting

Pennsylvania Republicans are looking to embrace mail-in voting despite former President Donald Trump’s opposition.

Republicans have increasingly grown concerned over Democrats’ ability to get more votes via mail-in ballots, which played a major role in the 2020 presidential election. Trump and many within the party have sought to restrict the practice, citing fears of fraud, but others are looking to adopt it more broadly. Pennsylvania Republicans are looking to lead the charge of Republicans embracing the practice.

Republican officials told Reuters that they are looking to raise $8 million to fund an educational campaign aimed at urging more Republicans to utilize mail-in voting.
