Food stamps: February payments to Georgia residents worth up to $1,751 end tomorrow

Georgia families collecting payments from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program for the month of February who have not received their money can expect it to arrive tomorrow.

Roughly 15% of the state’s population, or about 1.6 million people, receive SNAP benefits in Georgia. The average payment per household member per month is $188.

Food stamps are sent out from Feb. 5-23 in the Peach State, on odd days. SNAP payments will be issued to beneficiaries depending on the last two digits of their client ID numbers.

Beneficiary IDs ending in 00 through 89 should have collected SNAP benefits by Wednesday, and those with IDs 90 through 99 will collect on Friday.
