March’s Supplemental Security Income payment, worth up to $943 for individual filers, will go out to millions of beneficiaries in a little over a week.
The payment will go out in nine days, on Friday, March 1, and is the second payment for 2024 because no payments went out in January due to a scheduling quirk in the Social Security Administration’s calendar. The quirk saw two payments disbursed in December instead.
To qualify for SSI payments, a person has to have limited income and be totally or partially blind or have a “physical or mental condition(s) that seriously limits their daily activities for a period of 12 months or more, or may be expected to result in death.”
