Colorado Springs double murder suspect arrested

Colorado Springs, Colorado, police announced the arrest of Nicholas Jordan, 25, after two people were found dead in a University of Colorado, Colorado Springs dormitory room on Friday.

Jordan was arrested on two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of Celie Rain Montgomery, 26, and Samuel Knopp, 24. Police responded to a shots fired call from the Crestone House dormitory at 5:59 a.m. local time on Friday.

Authorities said they found Jordan in a vehicle at 7:52 a.m. local time on Monday and took him into custody less than an hour later “without incident.” A booking photo of Jordan will be available after he is booked in the county jail, according to police.
