Trump says Georgia case ‘will have to be dropped’ after Fani Willis testifies over misconduct allegations

Former President Donald Trump said the Georgia election subversion case against him “will have to be dropped” after Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis testified Thursday regarding allegations that she had an “improper” relationship with a lawyer she hired. 

Willis testified at the Fulton County Courthouse, hoping to stay as the lead prosecutor in the Georgia 2020 election interference against Trump and 18 of his Republican allies. 

“There is no case here,” Trump told Fox News Digital during Willis’s testimony. “It is so badly tainted. There is no case here. There was a perfect phone call. It was perfect. But by going after Trump, she’s able to get her boyfriend more money than they ever dreamed possible.”

“The case will have to be dropped,” Trump added, calling Willis “disgraced.”
