Millions of beneficiaries receive March’s Supplemental Security Income payment, worth up to $943 for individual filers, in just two weeks.
The payment goes out on Friday, March 1, and is the second paycheck for 2024 because no payments went out in January due to a scheduling quirk in the Social Security Administration’s calendar that saw two payments disbursed in December.
The maximum amount each person can get depends on the way each of the recipients filed for the payment. There are three categories for beneficiaries when filing for the payments: individual, joint, or as an essential person.
Individual filers can receive up to $943 each month, people who filed as a couple can receive up to $1,415, and essential persons get up to $472 each month, according to the SSA. These
