Russian President Vladimir Putin said he did not get “full satisfaction” from his viral interview with Tucker Carlson, which was his first interview with a U.S.-based journalist since the start of the war in Ukraine.
The one-on-one interview was released last week and lasted over two hours. In reflecting on the interview, Putin said he was expecting Carlson to act more “aggressively” toward him and ask “so-called sharp questions.”
“I was not just prepared for this. I wanted it because it would give me the opportunity to respond in the same way,” Putin said on Wednesday, according to the New York Post. “Frankly, I did not get full satisfaction from this interview.”
