United States women’s soccer team great Megan Rapinoe said on Tuesday that Christians are “not OK” while defending a joke about God that she made after her last game.
Rapinoe, a two-time FIFA Women’s World Cup winner, made the comment on the Pablo Torre Finds Out podcast while addressing the injury she suffered in her final game.
“I’m like a controversial figure and having people, low-key, like, celebrate it, but then also, like, be, like, so disingenuous about it that that part is kind of funny too,” she said. “I’m like, ‘Wow, you guys are in a special place in hell that you’re celebrating this.’”
