A massive fuel tanker carrying 9,000 gallons of gasoline erupted in flames Sunday morning after colliding with another vehicle and bringing down power lines outside Fort Worth, authorities said.
The 18-wheel tanker struck the car in what investigators described as a violent crash. The impact toppled nearby power lines before the truck caught fire, creating a dangerous scene that forced emergency response crews to the area early in the day.
The driver of the tanker sustained burn injuries from the blaze and received medical treatment at the scene. No other details about injuries to occupants of the other vehicle were immediately disclosed by officials.
