Patrick Mahomes has explained in a new interview why he avoids partaking in controversial topics in politics, including presidential endorsements and gun control.
The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback said he would like to see voters do their own research ahead of the November elections, which could include a rematch between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump. Mahomes did not provide any endorsement in the 2020 presidential election, and indicated he has no plans to give one for 2024.
“I don’t want to pressure anyone to vote for a certain president,” Mahomes said. “I want people to use their voice, whoever they believe in. I want them to do the research.”
